| Does any one have a wiring diagram or know how to make a split charge system with 2 batteries. and dont say Jump leads, NO... i want one that wont burn my jeep out, and will charge the other battery SAFELY | |

| mine r just joined togetherthis is the way i was advised 2do it and the way most ppl run a twin battery set up

| rodderz, if you wire them up like that diagram and run your winch from the other battery then you'll never flatten your starting battery. if you just connected the batterys together like pos-pos neg-neg like you would if you was jump starting then you would double the battery power but they would both drain and charge together. so you'd still have flat battery problems but it would take longer to flatten them. it would also take longer to charge them. but if you keep them seperate then 1 will run the engine and main electrics and the other could run the winch and anything extra you put on like lights. you could then run this extra battery totally flat and still start your truck which would then charge it back up. do it like the diagram and you'll have no problems. maybe use bigger fuses than that diagram. 20-30 amp should do. | |

get tidy battery's DONT use the winch without the engine no probs
and 4 the record i have wound my winch in fully with load without engine on still enough charge 2 start engine
im not sayin dont do them separate just sayin its not really necessary | |

| yer ur right pitbull, thing is i dont wanna go spending 200 quid on a battery at the mo, cause i'm out of fuffin work. so 2 shittyier batteries and a switch, i got a cable an a battery, 20 quid cheep as chips, Safe split charge thingy. | |
