| Hi guys (+girls), I'm new on here, so this is one of my first posts. Hope to get to know most of you better over the coming months. Just to let you know, if anyone's interested, I'm running my Defender 110 (200 Tdi) on bio diesel. (I'm also running my partners Renault Grand Scenic on it too). All seems to be going well so far. I do need to change the fuel filter very soon as it's becoming clogged with "gunk" that the bio diesel cleans out of tank and lines. I make the bio diesel myself from used vegetable oil which is generated by one of my businesses. I would normally have to pay to have the veggie oil taken away to be disposed of, so I'm killing two birds with one rock as it were. Prices are working out about 20p/litre as the veggie oil is no cost to me personally. ANT

| Agreed. A few yeas ago chip shops would have paid you to take it off their hands. These days it seems everyone wants it to make bio diesel. I'm lucky that I have a business that generates a source of used veggie oil at no cost to me. Wish I did have a surplus that I could sell, but I've only just got enough to run 2-3 vehicles just now. My partner still has to have the occasional few litres of diesel from the garage when I'm away working. ANT | |

| I've been on bio for about 18 months now and it's much quieter and smells nice You're allowed 2500 litres a year but as said , who can prove you've used more | |
