can the torque converter and flywheel be lifted out together? or do I need to unbolt the torque converter first?

have been told i need to mark the torque converter to the flywheel, so its in the same position when it goes back in? Id have thought they will only go back in one way Question

any help appreciated peoples!

Very Happy

Its better to unbolt the torque converter from the flywheel as its a lot less messy to start with. Its the way we always did granada's in the garage. But i've never heard of marking it first. Hope thats some help.
B.T.W. you may need to hold the converter in place when you pull the engine out.

take the plate off the bellhousing and undo the 8 bolts between the flywheel and torque converter. no need to mark it. don't let the torque converter fall from the gearbox.
any problems when your doing it ring me 07885999117. i've done a few now, got to do one next weekend.

enjoy
