can anyone tell me how to remove the steering drop arm from a defender without destroying anything. do I need a fcuk off big puller?

i would spray it for 3 days with wd40 make sure u can get it clean as u can b4 spraying it .. spray an soak for few days .. still be a bit tight but often easier that how i do mine if that helps Smile

Take box off and warm it with lamp it come off easy then

I've been told, if you use a big welder, you weld a blob on the arm then smack it with a B.F.I (big f*****g implement). Apparently the heat is enough to loosen the arm and grind the weld off after.
This is the method, a garage I deal with in work, does it on military defenders.

True, but normally you'd be taking the arm off to replace the seals anyway?
