Hi gang!
Im'e Ken! aka: Billy.
Aint been into 4x4's for ages now.
Had a couple of SJ's years ago but didnt do a lot with them.
Bought my BillySurf in November 2009, and have had fun since.
Dont care how old you are, you can still have fun cant you?
Been told Im'e a bit braindead when out, thats why Billy has a broken front end at moment, so running 2wd for a while!
Bought a MK3 pickup that was lifted to the hilt,with a Rover 3.5 V8, from a m8 of Baz'.
Had plans for it as you do, but pinched the 35's off it for Billy, when I lifted him.
I know you are mostly LR owners, but there again its not your fault, lol.
(How to make friends and influance people, NOT! Lol.)
Swapped my Rocsta to another M8 of Baz' the other month, and had another Surf off him.
One that Baz had owned for a short while!
Not gonna lift this one so much as Billy though, try and get it usable for the rough stuff!
Enough to try and get 33's on it though.

Since I let a Saluki pup into my life though, Iv'e been juggling finances between the both hobbies, the trucks and the dog.
Problem is, the dogs winning.

Between the Dog and the trucks, the poor missus aint getting much of a look in, lol.

Well Baz told me you were a great crowd, so hope to be able to get out and about with you all a bit!
Bring my tow rope, promise!

Roxta was exactly like a SJ on the road, exept it felt a lot sturdier, and pulled better as it had a Diesel.
Off road it would do whatever a SJ done, I was quite surprised considering.
If I had taken the time and added tidy tyres etc, it would have been a beast off road.
CLIME! Could it clime! Being light helps I spos.
I am sorry its gone, but was offered a surf for it, and I thought it was a good deal at the time, as I was in need of a lot of parts for Billy, and it had them all.
Unfortunatly, the red surf is still whole and going on road next week with any luck, and Billy still needs the bits, lol.
Would get another one anytime if the deal or price is right!

Tell you what I like!
When a 4x4 is slagged down, by the press or clubbers, and you get one yourself and prove them all wrong.
Its like anything realy, if you dont expect too much from something, you appreciate what it actualy does, and add to it.

Ide like to hear what people think of Frontera's.
Baz had a couple and he did a bit of offroading with them.

Agreed, look at what Peter does in the Kia.
Not the first choice for an off roader, but bloody good!!

Ouch! Did I just start an argument? Lol.

Every 4x4 has its own pro's and cons I recon.

Even though LandRover has got a name for unreliability, they have been going for a hell of a long time, and will carry on for just as long I recon.
HiLux, be it Surf or Pickup versions, are more comfortable, more space, and known for reliability, exept the 2.4 which seems to have a head problem.

I like the both of them, and even though I drive Surf's, I wouldnt turn my nose up at a tidy LR if a right deal came along!

Still recon that Suzuki had it right when they built the SJ though!
Pity about the electrics not liking the water though!
But then again, the suzi boys seem to get round that with no probs, all be it after getting emersed in a river somewhere, lol.

Is it true that LR stands for Lotta Rot?
No? Right then, got that wrong again, lol.

Seriously though, The two series Iv'e had in the passed were awsom!

If I had the money and the right one came along, I would consider a 90 to put with the gang anytime.
