Suicide

What do you do when one of your mates kills themselves? Mate of mine hung himself this week and it's killing me inside. Can't eat, can't sleep, can't think straight can't help but blame myself. I'm in bits inside. Help anyone? Dunno what the point of this is, guess I just needed to get it out somewhere

It's grieving Joe and your beter getting it out than keeping it in In time you will feel beter ok

jojo 1 of my best friends O.D a few years ago i was ripped to bits i had known him for about 20 years, you just gotta greve and you will get over it, theres not alot people can say or do to an extent it takes time, and you gotta deal with it in ya own way, just think of the goodtimes you spent together rather than the bad

People who care will understand. Like everyone else, I wish I could say or do something to make the pain go away, but I can't.

I've lost 2 cousins that way in the past 4 years, its very difficult to know what to do. The first time, apart from the obvious grieving I felt guilty and angry and I lost the plot abit and had a very violent spell, I didn't tell mates anything about it untill months after and I think that was the problem. The second time I was more able to cope, when I found out I went down the pub with a good mate and just spoke for a few hours and got it all off my chest, I felt better for it afterwards and coped a lot better. Sorry I've gone on abit but moral of the story is that the best way to deal with it is to talk through the positive memories, realise that beating yourself up and feeling guilty doesn't help anyone, and with time it does become easier. Chin up mate.

this is normal, just keep talking, friends, non friends, anyone. if you need any more, phone samaritons they are very good listeners.

im very sorry to hear that jo iv bin thear to i felt the same as you do as all the guys have said keep busy and talk when you ready or to any one it helps but time wiil make it better do not blame your self

iv lost 15 good m8s in last 10 years through drugs and things and like baz said time is a good healer dont blame ur self it was there choice

I just want to say a big thankyou for all your kind words have been abroad working for 4 days so haven't been able to get on here but it was nice to come home to!! So thanks again. Funeral is on Wednesday not looking forward to it
