ok then you lot can a tray back 4x4 be made to be road legal my insurance dont care whot i do as long as it can get an mot thinking about it what do you think

depends how legal u want to keep it and what ur turning into a trayback?

if its got a ladder chassis then as far as im aware yes as long as u dont modify the chassis at all so u wont be able to cut the overhang off but if you do cut the chassis down it will still pass a mot but wont be road legal in the dvla's eyes

if it hasn't got a ladder chassis then aint got a clue but i would say no as i assume if u havn't got a chassis the same rules would apply to the body

forgot to add i could be completely wrong but thats how i understand it

this is 100% road legal was built out of all new parts and was put through a sva test as a commercial and is on a 60 plate alright for some eh?

S.V.A. is a mine field of regulations.
As far as I can tell, if you modify the chassis its got tot be S.V.A. tested.
But you need to read up on what rules apply to your vehicle.
You can build/modify anything and pass an M.O.T., as long as its up to M.O.T. standards, but it doesn't make it road legal without an S.V.A. test (possbly).
Its VERY complicated and the rules depend on what you've done and how much of the original vehicle is used.
The insurance will cover your vehicle, but wait 'till you make a claim!!!
THEN they say it needs an S.V.A. test or engineers report to say the mods etc. are done properly.
If I where you, I'd read the S.V.A. regs. concerning what you plan on doing.
Remember, if you are involveds in an accident, the law may not agree with the insurance as to wether or not your vehicle is legal.
