I had shackles on my SJ, it drove like a bag of s**t on the road, and still grounded out on steep hills. The spring shackles dig in.
Personally, I would go for a spring over axle conversion, or lifted springs.
Both can be quite expensive, but far better than lift shackles.
You can get shackles on e-bay really cheap.
If you do the S.P.O.A., its a lot of work (and cash) but better, and you can fit 31" tyres.
You end up with about 5-6" of lift in total.

Call me a silly cunt but surely to do a s.o.a you'd just cut the mounts off the bottom of the axle and make some new one to weld onto the top? Can't be that hard can it?

and cut stering bars and it will fall over all the time s.o.a is not good i dont like the way thay drive had m8s who have done it and thay have put it back the way it was . the beast lift is springs and body lift 2inch body and 2inch spring will get 31 on it or just get new std springs (milner )thay will be cheaper than lifted 1s thay will lift it a bit from warn ones prop an inch then 1inch shackls and a body lift will handle ok dont for get off set wheels . you could make a body and shackl lift .if it a 413 and you want 31 put a 410 tbox on lower the gearing Wink if it a sj410 for get the 31s it wont run em you be changeing clutchs all the time What a Face
