Choke problem???? Empty
PostSubject: Choke problem????   Choke problem???? Icon_minitimeMon Dec 12, 2011 8:41 am

I have a weber carb on my zuki sj 413. This morning It started as normal then I thought it was ok so I turned the choke off but it spluttered for about 10 seconds and cut out. I could not start it again so I left it as it was dark then when it got light I went back and it started first time. But now the choke just stays where its set without locking it rather than returning to off. Its been fine all day and iv done about 45 miles then on my way home its spluttering like hell and cuts out unless I keep the revs up. Any ideas what could be the issue. Help would be appreciated
Thanks guys.

Weber carbs are sticky, check the return spring for the choke and the butterflies (flaps) a blast of WD40 or carb cleaner usually works.

Hope it works. Haven't played with weber carbs for years.
They where always great when they worked.
Personally I prefer an S.U. carb on S.J.'s
HIF44 (off a metro 1300) works realy well and they are easy to tune in.
