Hi everyone - Happy New Year.
I'm new here - did a search on Google and came across your forum.
I'm looking for some offroading fun in South/Mid Wales.
I have a Range Rover Sport which I have done some offroading in, but it's an expensive piece of kit to get adventurous with offroad, so I also have a Defender 110.
My username might give away my job, but just in case you can't guess, I work in the oil industry. Currently offshore Canada. I live in South Wales.
Done a fair bit of offraoding from the deserts of the middle east to muddy fields in Wales, but I'm always ready to learn more.
Currently offshore so I can't make Jan 5th meet, but hopefully the next one.

Yep, despite it's reputation, the Sport is very capable offroad, even with standard road tyres. The first time I used it, I couldn't believe what it could do. Of course the electronic drivers aids, HDC, ABS, etc. etc. help enormously, but it's still an experience to tackle tough stuff in comfort.
The real challenge is driving the old Defender tho', with no electronic help!!! Again great fun.
One of the reasons I haven't taken the Sport offroad too much is it's width - it's about 5 inches wider than the Defender and a little too wide for a lot of lanes.
Looking forward to meeting up with most, if not all of you in the future.
Are there any play days, offraoding trips, planned soon?
Oh, and what's pitbulls reputation?

if u can afford a RRS u can afford to have it resprayed every couple of months get it down radyr dent r like scratches with betta stories o yea and iv always wanted a go of a RRS at a play and play site

When you say "I've always wanted a go of a RRS", do you mean you'd like to have a drive in one, or do you mean you'd like to aim your Disco at one?????
Just so that I know whether to bring the Sport or Defender!!!

Pitbull, I've seen some of your pics - in most of them you're airborne!!! I'd like to keep the Sport upright and on all four wheels, so if it's ok with you, you can sit on the left hand side mate! LOL

i do like the look of the 110, i was gona get 1 before my disco, but i got let down onit so got the next half decent truck i saw,

pics are easy but not so easy 2 out into words lol

put the pics on ur computer then click on the square above where u write ur post that looks like a floppy disk in front of a picture then browse 4 the file then press host it a screen will come up with 3 codes highlight the 3 code which is the last one on the bottom past that code into the square 2 the right witch look like a picture then press ok if it comes up a a code where u write press preview below where u write and it should come up

Thanks pitbull. Tried that, but since I'm offshore on my employers computer, it filters out "personal network storage and backup", which means I can't post photos on posts until I get home.

Unfortunately, I'm offshore again for the next meet at Radyr on Feb 22nd, so it will have to be another one.
Should make the pub on Feb 2nd tho'.
