hello to all. my name is benji and im from nelson bay in australia. my ride is an 85 range rover currently wearing 2inch OME lift, 31 bridgestone duelers, a big set of IPF spotties and a hole bunch of other goodies.

just weld a 2"extension on it, thats what was done to mine

yeah? iv got centre diff lock as well, you reckon she'd still go into low range and diff lock ok?

mine does, or did till transfer box died lol

haha. damn. ok awesome. i own a welder n do an alrite job with it too. might do something cool n welder the end of a spanner to it or something.

pops out of low, not a good thing when going down hill, and cant get difflock and then when it wants it just locks it self, so im getting it changed

nah just a standard transfer box, its auto so its good offroad, ive hardly done any off roading, as landy broke and i work weekends alot, so gota get back into the swing of it again,

before i had my rangie i had a daihatsu rocky 2.8 turbo diesel. was a great lil car until the injecter pump blew and the one i purchased 2nd hand to replace was a dud too. i was having mass $$$ issues then too and it ended up sitting on the bench for 7-8 months. and iv only owned the rover a month now so im only just gettin back into it too.
but man its good fun.
argh true, i wouldnt put reduction gears in an auto. they go alright as standard.

i would even tho its gos ok the size of the tyres still saps the power witch in terms puts more strain on the engine 2get it 2 go and makes it slower so if it was me i would reduce it if possible

just coz u dont have 2 slip the clutch as u need 2 on a man doesn't mean it dont help n other ways theres a reason y different ratios r used on different vehicles manuals and autos alike

so true pitbull. i think id be more inclined to change the ratios in the diffs if i was running an auto. but im a cog swopper, cant stand driving auto cars, they just get borring after a while.
on road that is.

a 90 transfer box would be good i wouldnt even entertain swapping cogs, to much like hard work, i got a standard box so its going on , if could afford id put 90 box on but dont really bother me,

to each his own i guess. autos have there pros and cons, manuals have pros and cons. personally i prefere manual. but yeah.

i want a auto i like DRIVIN at time but most of the time i just cant b arsed and just point it and go plus there betta off road IMHO

i do agree with you there not that mighty. gota do a fair bit to em to get em really worthy.

Used to be some good offroading in WA but not to much mud..

haha, there wouldnt be. its just way too hot and dry.
nah its in N.S.W about 2 hours north of Sydney.
about 40 mins from newcastle if you know that.
really nice place. heaps of assholes though, but you get that where ever you go.
thats a pretty mean lookin 90.

its a really nicly built full cage but he uses ita as a paint protector lol iv offered 2 try it out 4 him but he said no

i remember y he got it we were at a play and pay site and he slid into a tree and put a little dent in his roof couple weeks l8r it was all caged up

haha. i reversed into a tree and my left hand mirror doubled as a bulldoser so i kinda no wat you feel like marcus. looks really good though.

it did look good but its pretty fooked up now it has bounced off quite a few trees since and a 90 b4 rob gets his ore in RRC in the makin tho when i can b arsed startin on it

mine cost me well over £1000 last year 2 kep it on the road and it is crap but it wasnt a year ago lmfao

im not sure how to calculate the difference in currencies, but atm im paying $1.16L
coz i refuse to put cheap petrol in my car.
we were paying about $1.60L a couple of months ago.
diesel was like $1.90L was ridiculous

0.95 GBP = 1.98335 AUD
United Kingdom Pounds Australia Dollars
1 GBP = 2.08774 AUD 1 AUD = 0.478987 GBP

1.16 that work out 2 55p the cheap petrol over hear is around 85p 95p is diesel

haha, you no the saying. the harder you drive it, the deeper you have to dig in your pocket at the end of the day. lol.

is comin down over hear ATM it was like 1.05GBP (2.19AUD) petrol and around 1.20GBP (2.51 AUD) diesel

and as mine is really bad on fuel (even tho is diesel) i get around 280miles (450km) to 100GBP (209.28 AUD)

once i get the motor sorted out im putting it on LPG.

2nd car mine just sits there till the next off road time still covered im mud from about 10 weeks ago and havnt moved since but the mrs is kickin off cos shes left with no car 2 drive the kids round thats 1 reason im doin the range up hopefully will get twice the MPG out of that 1 if not ill just smash that up as well lol
