might be getting new muds

the last 2 outings ive seen the simex and the copies insa turbos going in the mud there great i think me needs some, i gotta start saving for some 35"s

i need muds. can get nowhere other wise lol

just a question are mud tyres noisy when on the road?

depends on what tread pattern you get, insaturbos are but kl71's and hankook dyna pros arnt that bad

what ones are most popular then?

those 2 types are quite good it depends on what cash you got alot of people buy second hand,
another good tyre are bfg muds, just depends on what you got to spend, for club members we got a new tyre company gona be giving us discount soon, 10%

ive got insa turbo traction tracks on mine at the mo, and they absolutely howl on the road lol its great

people if u want 2 go everywhere,and dont want 2 get stuck,theres only 1 tyre that is cheap and the best 4 the job,INSA TURBOS.

but.. there small and narrow

if u want 35s rob the only way is simex and u will be lookin at £200 a corner (unless u can find a 2nd hand set)

BOGGERS r the way forward but there £270 each

have u stepped ur game up that much to warrent more extreme tyres rob ?

not major just that place in merthyr is very muddy and you do need good tyres, cant afford simex and i can get them for £179 a corner, and y they small and narrow

285/75/16 are just under 35" and total width is 13"

Try 4x4tyres.com, i'm getting Kingpin Amazon Muds, 4 of, for £218.
They are similar in pattern to Recip tyres. 235/75x15's for about £50 a corner.
Loads of other makes and sizes available, also free shipping!!
I wanted 31/10.5x15's but they won't fit not without changing wheels etc.

285/75/16 works out to

285mm = 11.22" 11.22" - 25% = 8.45" x 2 = 16.83" + 16 = 32.83"

so that would make 33/11.5/16

bfg say ther 285/75/16s work out to 33/8.9/16

or do u kno that they are oversized ?

they measured the nobble to nobble and it was nearly 13" wide,

hard to get second hand ones but 265/75/16 are about £300 for a set of 4

theres a fella on difflock selling 32" simex trekkers (special tracks, but the real thing) for £400

feima Siroccos come in at 36.5in , cant get any better value for money as they wear better, and dont cut up like the insa,s .

Be ware that big grip equals easy snap on the shafts !
