| i have just started an engineering course in college a few hours a week and was told i can build whatever i want as long as i supply the materials, does anyone have some designs for front bumpers that they could email me. Will be my first project so may aswell start big.

| Get the tape measure out and design your owm, thats half the fun of engineering. Designing in your head, and then putting that thought onto steel in the real world. | |

| I'm not going to copy what someone else has done, its just i wanted an idea and some hints on metal thickness and what not. As i need to start something next thursday i may do a light bar first whilst doing the measurements for the bumper. Pete, suck my bloater you gay minge. | |

| Are you doing FEA in your engineering course ? A perfect opertunit to work out static and dynamic loading on the winch bumper to work out material grade and thickness. Or from my experience, 43A of at least 6mm, with plenty of gussets and flanged edges works great, for all but the biggest of winches. | |

Not having a winch, i cant afford to put diesel in it let alone the hundreds of pounds to put a winch on that i will never use. I just want to make a better looking bumper than the stock one. | |
