green lane day out with other clubs

hi boys i want to invite a few clubs to do a charity green lane day or a pay and play all the money going to a charity that the club thinks is the best and that needs it please can you all voice your Opinion all of are membes count on this one thank you boys

im not a lover of goin stuff for charity there is to much cash go's missing i now that form the past so that is a no form me . but that is just what i think.if the boys are up 4 it all well and good

think it sounds quite good if it involves other clubs maybe they invite us to theirs sometime ,,

thay will iv spoke to few club and thay are willing to get involed with us on pay and play and green lanes and invited us to thays whitch is a realy good start

hi i no what peter is on about that mcmillan charity walk i done when they sent the paying in forms you could pay 100% or claim your expenses i.e pens, paper, there was shit loads of stuff you could vertually wipe 90% out wrong in my opinion but there arseholes out there that will do it

but if you pay direct into acount the hole money goes to the charity you choose,

but like i said if you arrange it you can claim expenses as long as you say where its gone you can take it,

i think the more we do for the publice the more respect that we will get in return

i was thinking of a local charity like the air ambulance or the st johns ambulance or any one you can think of

I think this is more like it, getting involved with other clubs and other like minded peeps, could get somekind of inter-club competition
going, a bit of friendly rivalry, meeting new off roaders and possibly raising some cash for worthy causes as well.
Peter brought up a good point though, whenever money is raised it has to be made crystal clear,how much was raised and how and where it is
donated. this is where a club treasurer comes in, all the money raised is banked into the club account and entered into the books as "children in need day" (for example) then if any charity recieves a donation it is done via a cheque from the club account and marked down in the books as "£100 from children in need day money" (for example)
this way there is no way that any money can go astray and everything is kept squeaky clean.

i will totaly agree with that what a good idea well seid this is another topic to brig up in the club meetings

thats what i did with the pay n play charity day for cistic fibrsis, i asked for a letter stating how much they recived donated from the club for there charity

maybe we could do 1 for st johns as stated they might do 1st aid training for some of the pay n play admin, for free if they wont to learn it.
as a forum members mum runs a local st johns unitmight work

how many people well go for this idea i want to do this for a good cause and i dont want anything out for it the only thing i want out of it is to help others

why dont you speak to the other clubs 1st to see what ideas are bought up at meetings and different charities are put forward,
then we will have more input for the members to decide

thst is a good idea we can do that when we go to the clubs and we can bring it up in our own meetings too

It was St.John's who I did my frist aid trainning with, so i'm all for that.
Any decent charity is good, especially local ones, they need all the help they can get.

I got friends in clubs around Manchester and up that way they would prob be up for some laning and stuff for charity sounds good

the more the better even if we have to do it over a few weeks if there is tomany people going

just do a few different events and share the cash between different charities
