| Subject: part worn tyre place needed, recommendations? Tue Dec 28, 2010 11:13 pm | |
| Can anyone recommend a place that sells part worn tyres in/ around Cardiff?? Have googled but only came back with one...AR part worn...who arent answering the phone at the mo
Noticed the other day I've got 3corners with 6mm and one with 2mm! So need one or two new tyres but pointless getting brand new straight after christmas!
Any help much appreciated!!

Peter: 255/75/15 110S rated. Hoping against all odds to find a Kumho with about 6mm to match the other corner, otherwise I'll have to get 2 as dont like mismatched

| Well helpfully its a slightly different size at 70 rather than 75 so wouldnt want to run it too far anyway. And I cant see anywhere getting a part worn in my size any time soon soooooo I reckon I'll be hunting for a set of new tyres tomorrow. No idea where to go, reckon I'll just ring a few places and see what prices/ availability is like. Then probably get them to stick the good tyre on the spare whilst they're at it so at least thats sorted too then. Silly question but whats a good midrange tyre? Been so long since Ive shod a 4x4!! I love Kumho's and bridgestones but doubt my budget will stretch that far. But want something semi decent. It's got rangerunners on the front but, to be honnest, Ive not heard much of these! Dam cars cost too much money and always break at the wrong time lol | |

| You could try A+A tyres off Hadfield road, they use to have some cheap tyres out the back, in a container. Might be able to get 4 with the same size/tread pattern, but different makes. | |

| Llwydycoed is 30th of this month. When we go up the tips, we generally just do the lanes in winter, coz the tips are getting too slippery. Anytime you want to go, give us a shout.
