| but I am home mr summerill. under the act of union (1536) wales was united with England, the welsh language was banished completely from the courts and wales was devided into shires on the English model, as in brecknockshire, monmouthshire, denbighshire, montgomeryshire etc. I suspect that, although you are welsh, you can't speak your own language now I'm not blaming you for this ( and if you do speak welsh then not only do I appologise in advance but envy you) as the use of the welsh language was discouraged in schools throughout the 30s.40s. and 50s. and immigration to the mines and steelworks brought in thousands of non welsh speaking workers, in fact, in the vallys, you are more likely to have Italian ancestors than welsh ones. So Peter, where is home? | |

| Mr Street. Just a little history:- The union jack (symbol of G.B. I believe) is made up of the english, irish and scotish flags. No one has ever 'taken' the Welsh Flag. Not a dig just adding to the lesson.LOL. I am Welsh and proud of it, unfortunately I can't speak welsh. I'm useless at langauges.
