no . sorry i was just finding my feet in this forum seeing how it all works , ok might have looked a bit fussy/ picky.

but honest just learning how things work, after all you would hate me to not be able to understand it and get all confused and not bother coming any more ...ay

evey forum is different , as you know. the one i moderate. has very little interference from the mods, we let all the rows and stuff go on and everything. very entertaining . last week i even had to moderate a moderator. now that was funny.

but the best thing of all is 99% of the rows end in becoming really good friends.


oh and we never delete nothing. well unless we are asked to by the poster or its really nasty


anyway im just seeing how it all works here

so if i start a thread saying i want to do a meet on sunday, but people join in and say they prefer monday, and i agree monday would be better for everyone.
so now i have a post that is off topic from then on ?


or i reply to a thread saying i cant go on monday cos something is broken or my tyres are worn out, and someone says hey ive got a part or some tyres and we chat about it. when i come back to discuss it thank them

is there a problem with space here or something?

i can never find where i left off, is this a simple case of over moderating or is there a space issue

we do monthly meets for green laning , and have guests from devon and essex come along too

anyone is welcome to come along to one of our meets, bonkers or not

how do you feel about involving rowan within the club it will give him more clout and bonkas, how do you feel that copper was , is he on side or ????

i really dont have any faith in the other groups , it needs to be local and constant . bigger groups just seem to roll over and give in.

we need to involve as many local groups / clubs as possible. i have discussed this with the V.C of crag and he's keen to start rattling cages at powys. he's still hurt over the bridge they built. and i keep reminding them about

but its time to make a stand. and next time go well prepared for obstacles etc

one day a standard terrano went further than his lifted td5 with muds on

mine was on standard road tyres and drove out after 5 hours digging . as did my mates t2 ....
howard had to drag a t2 and the td5 through hell behind us

hi all , after our little trip down the sarn on saturday to find it blocked off by the farmer.
it is crucial we involve ourselves with ROWAN , the people who did the meeting in seven sisters last week.

i believe 3 form bonkas attended this meeting

it will help if we can provide them with statements and photo evidence so they can help keep the sarn open,

also i propose we pursue this very hard . we seem to be in the door as far as showing we mean to keep it open and people are listening, so lets keep on top of it.

i have contacted chris from ROWAN and await his answer , ill keep you posted

so thats the neath section sorted.

next who is interested in weekly night runs up the other section of the sarn, the powys sections that are under dispuite. or undecided

its my thought the council are not making it public and the police had to cancel the section 59's . because the council want it to die down ...

as people are unsure of its status , they are not using it. that will give the council grounds to close it forever and quietly

we need to prove we are using it all the time.

im in the proses of getting some proper mapping software and gps tracking devices to track my trucks movements etc , as proof of sarn usage...couple of weeks max.
its a laptop im strugling on if anyone has a cheep one for sale
must be less than 5 years old , to run the software. i can possibly get copies if you want to do this too


anyway anyone in on night runs up the sarn....???

please if anyone from glass crag or lara wants to tell me to stop or not do it...please
im not interested in any of them do good, do nothing, grassing associations thank you.
however if your in one of them , and you have a bit if fight in you come along and lets actually do something instead of just sitting back telling people what they can and cant do , grassing and dividing the 4x4 community....

cant argue with that.... (not that im the argumentative type lol)

other Nissan can get pretty good flex at 33" tyres i lost a fair bit going to 35's . i have been trying to avoid a body lift, for road handling . but to get max flex back i probably have to body lift it 2"

the only other let down is the front suspension is at the highest point all the angles are pretty ugly and wear but with body lift i might get that down to a safer position

steering bends but im on top of that now.

its the lack of proper axle on the front that's really held me back. and caused masses of head work.

what i need is meets and people to look and throw ideas about! not the usual poop " sell it " or it wont ever do it cos its not a landy" ive heard that all before and then pulled them out or gone further
proper constructive help is what i need from a club

i plan to have a spend up on it soon to take it to the next level

ive created a rear disc brake conversion for it
i will now body lift it 2"
new shocks all around +2" for extra flex

i have several ideas for a steering fix so plan to do them
and a possible front suspension fix too. have ideas. but need lots of very good advise and help on that one but potentially could result in a 4" spring lift... that's why ive been holding back on the spend up

in return. i can offer to turn up for meets , (when possible with work).
and have a good laugh and help wherever i can

did well , looked quite capable from where i was setting ( right in your back door) id put a snorkel on it though. not to go deep . just as an insurance policy

i know everyone loves a landy but . ive had loads of poop from Howard and malcolm in seven when i got my t2 all the usual oh it wont do this or it wont go there. but i kept modding it and they love it now . and they are hard core landy peeps. and it goes anywhere they can go , until they need to turn the diff lockers on.

now on to diff lockers. well i have lsd on the rear , so the rear is sorted and when in 4wd i got 3wd, so better than a landy without lockers on so they only have 2 wheels driving
mine runs on 35" muds so i got as much if not more ground clearance than most landys. i have about an inch at the diff over that orange landy today

does the kia have lsd on the rear ?
be interesting if it does. its the main problem you will face, to move forward with the project build

is that video safe to put on the nissan forum. i could if its allowed bring some of them next moth if its possible
