Hey All,

New to the off-roading/greenlaning scene but enjoying each and every minute of it. Currently looking at purchasing a T3 Syncro Crewcab to have some fun with.

Originally from Cardiff Very Happy

but now living in Waddesdon, Buckinghamshire Shocked

If anyone is down this way in future and wants to do some lanes give me a shout.

I don't have anything yet but am in the process of trying to purchase a T3 Syncro Crewcab!

I have access to a number of vehicles thanks to the other half including a Syncro 16 2.5TDI and a Syncro Sika 4.2 V8.

Been learning to off-road in the 16 which is eye-opening esp. as it currently weighs 2.2 tonnes!

Been looking at them but other half is not a fan!! I just need something to pull my horse box (needs to be capable of pulling at least 2.5 tonnes) and to have fun with!!

mat300tdi had a disco for sale lifted, winch etc, looks ok, dont no much about it, more than capable of pulling a horse

if i had the cash it would be a 90 or a 110, but a disco does just as good really i no approach angle aint quite as good, but discos are a cheap allrounder, my girlfriend just bought a nice r reg 300tdi xs for £1400

doesnt all metal, landies more than others. lol!

just look for a clean 1, aslong as you clean it chuck abit of wax oil onit there fine.
my trucks chassis is solid never been welded, i got abit of rot on 1 inner wheel arch and 2 small holes in the boot, just keep them clean and you should be fine

Yes, I know that metal rots but Disco are well known for it apparently? Am I wrong in thinking this?

not really but as rob said get a clean 1 there known 4 rot cos alot of them have been used off road and not cleaned so chassis left caked in mud anything caked in mud is goin 2 rot mine is 14years only rust on it is a little bit of bubbling in the boot floor everywhere else mint (as rust is concerned b4 rob gets his ore in lol)

yes you are correct some can do, if im correct, they say check the inner arches, boot floor and body mounts. body mounts are the most important, boot floor panels only £60ish and inner bay repair panel i got a new 1 on ebay for 99p i was lucky but not alot,

but yours has sh+tloads of stuff on it, mine was a fair set up and that was £2000 but they dropped recently

yea i no but i dont like agreein with u so i still say 1500 Very Happy

as i said u can get cheaper but check them out but u could end up with a bargain

IMO real good 1s hold good value (coz there few and far between)

if u can stretch 2 3k get a jap import rust free bounce
