Please Note that the start times have been updated, I will Pm everyone this week with the details for locations and times for the events. Unfortunatly due to time restraints on my part I will only be able to run the gap event, if you wish to do any other lanes after Gap then you will be more than welcome to organise it.

Does anyone have a map of the gap that they can PM me or point me in the right direction to one online please??

Merthyr Tydfil College Carpark, try and go nearest to the firestation end of the carpark, self explanitory when u see it, and if your on the night event, try and p1ss off the boy racers as much as you possibly can

Meeting times are as follows, 11pm at college carpark for the midnighters, WE WILL MOVE OUT to the Gap at 11:30pm sharp, its a 15min run so we wanna get up there as early as poss, so do not be late!!!

And for the day run 1pm, leaving sharply at 1:30pm.

Now I've kept away from meeting closer to the gap road for a good reason, unless you know the way its a bit crap to get to from the merthyr end which we will be starting from, so I'm not gonna even bother to try and explain it and have people lost calling me, so the college carpark it is, which is easy to find


Although the college is techincally closer, its postcode goes to the rear, so if your gonna gps it, use the fire station which takes u right by the carpark

This event is going to be busy, its open for 2 and a half months of the year, and this is the frist weekend for possibly the final year of the Gap Road, so I will not be waiting around for people who are late and have not phoned me, as time really will be of the essence, and I get the feeling that a hell of a lot of people are gonna try this the weekend we are, and I want to make sure as many of you see this lane while we still can, so once again DONT BE LATE!!

Just went up tonight to check the gap, looks interesting, seems the forestry has been in there cutting trees down and havnt been too keen on tidying up after each other, did walk up the first 100 yards of it and the lane looks in good condition as far as my torch would shine, would have gone futher but there was a lot of cars going past up to the neuadd, not sure whats going on there but thought i'd not leave the disco there alone

But anyways all looks good, signage says we're open for march 1st, and aside from clearing some logs things look in good condition.

do it 2 min passed should b cleaned up by some1 else by then

Still looking for a campsite! Any recommendations close and do you know where I can leave 5 road tyres to (a safe place please - I would like to come back to them! ).

Guys, I'm really really sorry about this but I'm going to have to pull the plug on the midnight run, I'm not going to be able to make this, Sunday however is still on.


Out of the last 3, Marcus, Neil and Cariad would any of you be interested in running the midnight trip? I can run you through the routes early on saturday if necessary.


the sunday run is STILL ON, and will run as per the times I've posted.


Once again I cannot apologise enough about this, but some unavoidable work issues have arised that I cannot get out of on Saturday night. Please call me if you can or want to run this event, in the mean time I am trying to find someone who can run it for me as well.

hi all i just spoke to neil and hes still up for it and mizzed said i can borrow his lap top with the route on it il jump in back of neils, so all is still on.

i aint done much offroading and for the first time doing the lane id prefer to do it in the day time when theres a bit of light, i think thats the sensible thing to do,

i dont mind getting my truck dirty pitbull but im no as stupid behind the wheel as you, and i cant afford to keep breaking things, so i do what i thinks ok
